Behind-The-Scenes: ThriveCart Summit Planning Notes 7
Jun 06, 2025Day 3 of the summit was all about tying everything together in a meaningful way—making sure attendees walked away with clarity, confidence, and a sense of what comes next.
After two full days of expert-led sessions, behind-the-scenes tips, and interactive content, I hosted a live masterclass and Q&A session designed to wrap things up and reinforce the event’s core message.
The Masterclass: Simplicity That Scales
During the masterclass, I brought back the biggest takeaways from the summit—especially the idea that hosting a virtual summit doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Whether you're just getting started or have been in business for a while, the process can be streamlined and approachable.
I also introduced The Simple Summit System. This isn’t the full framework I’ve personally used since 2019 to plan my own summits. Instead, it’s a newly simplified version I created this year to help more online business owners get started—regardless of their list size, tech comfort, or time constraints. It’s designed to be more accessible, with a clear path to success that removes a lot of the friction and stress people often associate with virtual events.
Even though I love including things like automation, scavenger hunts, and layered engagement strategies, I wanted to make it clear that those things are optional. A virtual summit can be effective without being elaborate. Simplicity still works—and it often works better.
The Q&A: Thoughtful, Replay-Friendly Support
After the masterclass, I hosted a live Q&A call. It turned into a nearly three-hour session, packed with thoughtful answers and practical advice. The reason it ran so long is that we had a huge number of questions submitted ahead of time. We made it easy for attendees to submit questions in advance by placing our Live Q&A submission form in several high-traffic spots inside our ThriveCart Learn dashboard. It was on the main summit dashboard, the pre-ticket access area, above the help desk link, under the “Meet Your Host” lesson, on the Day 3 call page, and in the sidebar of all pre-event content. No matter where someone was inside the platform, they had access to the form.
This setup made it incredibly easy for people to submit questions—especially those who knew they wouldn’t be attending the live call. And because most attendees were watching on replay, we made it a point to answer every submitted question during the recording so everyone could come back later and get the answers they needed. Live attendees were able to ask additional questions on the spot, but the bulk of the session came from those early submissions.
Why I Held Back the Cart Open
Originally, I had planned to open the cart for The Simple Summit System during the Day 3 call, but I decided against it. At the time, our ThriveCart sponsor deal was still running, and they had just made major changes to their pricing structure. We had an exclusive offer still available through May 8, and it felt important to keep the focus there for a little longer.
So for the seven days following Day 3, we continued promoting the ThriveCart deal. Once that was wrapped up, we took a step back and gave our audience time to rest. There was a two-and-a-half-week pause before we officially opened enrollment for The Simple Summit System. This gave people time to process everything they had learned, take advantage of the ThriveCart offer, and feel more ready for the next step.
Closing With Intention
Day 3 wasn’t about pushing people into a program. It was about wrapping up with value, reinforcing clarity, and helping attendees feel supported, whether they chose to keep going with us or not. That made the entire event feel aligned and complete, and it laid the foundation for a successful, low-pressure program launch that followed.
