When I planned my first virtual summit back in 2018 it was completely out of necessity to monetize my audience, and turn a hobby blog into a business.

Back in 2019, I found myself without a job,

in need of income and struggling to find a way to turn a little hobby blog into an actual business! 

I was also in the car on a road trip with my entire family, with about 12 hours to sit and form a plan! 

After hours of going back and forth on ways to not just monetize my list, but actually deliver something that would be both impactful and inspiring to my audience, I decided old-school marketing wasn't going to cut it!

I was going to plan a virtual summit and answer a question everyone in my community was asking. And I'd answer it in about 40 different ways! 

I decided to host a virtual summit

which ended up having about 40 speakers sharing their personal experiences and inspiring stories. The event was a hit and we ended up having a little over 5000 registrations and raking in $10,000 by the end of Day 1. 

From here, I went on to grow not just my list to over 20K using free virtual summits, but I also grew that little hobby blog into a thriving community of nomads that I ended up selling to a new owner just  4 years later!

Virtual summits literally changed my life.

No longer did I have to rely on a 9-5 job to create the income I needed.
